In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. | Idi punganay ti Dios pinarsuana dagiti langlangit ken ti daga. | In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness. And the Spirit of God was hovering over its surface. | Ket ti daga adda idi a gosogoso ken awan nagyan; ket dagiti sipnget addada idi iti rabao ti yuyeng: ket ti Espiritu ti Dios nagtignay iti rabao dagiti dandanum. | The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Then God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. | Ket ti Dios kinunana, Adda coma lawag: ket nagadda ti lawag. | Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
And God saw that it was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. | Ket ti Dios nakitana a ti lawag naimbag: ket inlasin ti Dios ti lawag cadagiti sipnget. | And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.evening and the morning were the first day.
God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." Together these made up one day. | Ket ti Dios ninaganna ti lawag aldaw, ket dagiti sipnget ninagananna ti rabii. Ket naadda ti malem ken ti bigat, maysa nga aldaw. | God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
And God said, "Let there be space between the waters, to separate water from water." | Ket ti Dios kinunana, adda coma maysa a tangatang iti tengnga dagiti dandanum, a pagsisinaan dagiti dandanum cadagiti dandanum. | Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
And so it was. God made this space to separate the waters above from the waters below. | Ket ti Dios inaramidna ti tangatang, ket insinana dagiti danum nga adda iti baba ti tangatang, cadagiti danum nga adda iti rabaw ti tangatang: ket naaramid a casta. | Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
And God called the space "sky." This happened on the second day. | Ket ti Dios ninaganna, ti tangatang, Langit. Ket naadda ti malem ken ti bigat, aldaw a maicadua. | And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
And God said, "Let the waters beneath the sky be gathered into one place so dry ground may appear." And so it was. | Ket ti Dios kinunana, mapagtitipon coma dagiti danum nga adda iti baba dagiti langit iti maysa a disso, ket agparang coma ti daga a namaga: ket naaramid a casta. | 9Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.
God named the dry ground "land" and the water "seas." And God saw that it was good. | Ket ti Dios ninagananna ti namaga, Daga ket ti nacatiponan dagiti danum ninagananna Tataaw: ket ti Dios nakitana a nasayaatda, | And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let the land burst forth with every sort of grass and seed-bearing plant. And let there be trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. The seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came." And so it was. | Ket ti Dios kinunana, Patuboen coma ti daga ti root, mulmula nga adda bukelda ken caycayo nga agbunga nga ti bukelda adda cadacuada cas iti casisigudda, iti rabaw ti daga: ket naaramid a casta. | 11Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
The land was filled with seed-bearing plants and trees, and their seeds produced plants and trees of like kind. And God saw that it was good. | Ket pinataud ti daga ti root, mulmula nga addaan bukel a mayannatup iti casisigudda, ken caycayo nga agbunga a ti bukel adda cadacuada cas ti casisigudda: ket ti Dios nakitana a nasayaatda. | And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
This all happened on the third day. | Ket naadda ti malem ken ti bigat, aldaw a maicatlo. | So the evening and the morning were the third day.
And God said, "Let bright lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs to mark off the seasons, the days, and the years. | Ket ti Dios kinunana, Adda coma dagiti silsilaw iti tangatang dagiti langit tapno aglasin ti aldaw ken ti rabii: ket maipaayda coma a cas pagilaslasinan, ken panpanawen, al-aldaw, ken tawtawen: | Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;
Let their light shine down upon the earth." And so it was. | Ket maipaayda coma a silsilaw iti tangatang dagiti langit a manglawag iti daga: ket naaramid a casta. | and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.
For God made two great lights, the sun and the moon, to shine down upon the earth. The greater one, the sun, presides during the day; the lesser one, the moon, presides through the night. He also made the stars. | Ket ti Dios inaramidna dagiti dua a silsilaw a dadackel: ti silaw a dacdackel tapno aggundaway iti aldaw, ket ti silaw a basbassit tapno aggundaway iti rabii: inaramidna met dagiti bitbitwen. | Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
God set these lights in the heavens to light the earth, | Ket ti Dios insaadna ida iti tangatang dagiti langit, tapno lawaganda ti rabaw ti daga, | God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,
to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. | Ken tapno aggundaway iti aldaw ken iti rabii, ken tapno aglasin ti lawag ken sipnget: ket ti Dios nakitana a nasayaatda. | and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
This all happened on the fourth day. | Ket naadda ti malem ken ti bigat, aldaw a maicapat. | So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
And God said, "Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind." | Ket ti Dios kinunana agpangen coma cadagiti dandanum dagiti parsua a nabiag ken agtayab dagiti tumatayab iti ngato ti daga iti tangatang dagiti langit. | Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
So God created great sea creatures and every sort of fish and every kind of bird. And God saw that it was good. | Ket ti Dios pinarsuana dagiti dadackel nga animal ti taaw ken isu-amin a kita a nabiag nga aggaraw a nagpangenda cas ti casisigudda cadagiti danum, ken amin a tumatayab a nagpayac cas iti casisigudda; ket ti Dios nakitana a nasayaatda. | So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Then God blessed them, saying, "Let the fish multiply and fill the oceans. Let the birds increase and fill the earth." | Ket ti Dios binendicionanna ida a cunana, Agbungacayo coma ket agaducayo, ket punnoenyo dagiti danum dagiti taaw, ket dagiti tumatayab agaduda coma iti daga. | And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
This all happened on the fifth day. | Ket naadda ti malem ken ti bigat, aldaw a maicalima. | So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
And God said, "Let the earth bring forth every kind of animal--livestock, small animals, and wildlife." And so it was. | Ket ti Dios kinunana, Patauden coma ti daga dagiti parsua a nabiag cas iti cakikitada, an-animal, ken agcarcarayam ken agcacarungsot iti daga cas iti cakikitada: ket naaramid a casta. | Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.
God made all sorts of wild animals, livestock, and small animals, each able to reproduce more of its own kind. And God saw that it was good. | Ket ti Dios inaramidna dagiti agcacarungsot iti daga cas iti casisigudda, ken an-animal, cas iti cakikitada, ken isu-amin nga aguy-uyas iti daga cas iti casisigudda: ket ti Dios nakitana a nasayaatda. | And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, "Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life--the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild animals, and small animals." | Ket ti Dios kinunana, Aramidentayo coma ti tao iti ladawantayo, cas caaspingtayo: ket iturayanda coma dagiti ic-ican ti taaw, ken dagiti tumatayab cadagiti langit ken dagiti an-animal, ken ti amin a daga, ken dagiti amin nga agcarcarayam nga aguy-uyas iti rabaw ti daga. | Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
So God created people in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them. | Ket ti Dios pinarsuana ti tao a caladawanna met laeng, iti ladawan ti Dios pinarsuana; pinarsuana ida a lalaki ken babai. | So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
God blessed them and told them, "Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters over the fish and birds and all the animals." | Ket ti Dios binendicionanna ida, ket ti Dios kinunana cadacuada, Agbungacayo, ket agaducayo, ket punnoenyo ti daga, agbalincayo nga Appo kencuana; ket iturayanyo dagiti ican ti taaw, ken dagiti tumatayab cadagiti langit, ken amin nga parsua a sibibiag nga aggaraw iti rabaw ti daga. | Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
And God said, "Look! I have given you the seed-bearing plants throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. | Ket ti Dios kinunana, Adtoy, iniccancayo iti isu-amin a roroot nga addan bukel, nga adda iti rabaw ti amin a daga: ken isu-amin a cayo nga addaan bunga nga agpataud ti bin-i; maipaaydanto a canenyo. | And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.
And I have given all the grasses and other green plants to the animals and birds for their food." And so it was. | Ken cadagiti isu-amin nga an-animal iti daga, ken amin a tumatayab iti langit, ken amin nga aggaraw iti rabaw ti daga nga addaan biag, maipaay coma cadacuada a canenda ti amin a nalasbang a root: ket naaramid a casta. | Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.
Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way. This all happened on the sixth day. | Ket ti Dios nakitana amin nga inaramidna, ket, adtoy, nasayaatda unay. Ket naadda ti malem ken ti bigat, aldaw a maicanem. | Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
